All about JK Family Emporium!

The family that crafts together, stays together

I started sewing in my late teens with my mom. Making simple quilts. Throughout the years, I would make a quilt for a friend or family member. When Covid hit, I started sewing again. Would see people make things on social media, like bowl cozies, so I started making those. I made so many, that I saw a craft show and decided to see if anyone would buy anything I made. They did. It was so cool. So I started making more things. Kitchen boas, pillow covers, I created the grill towels that are similar to the kitchen boas, but my own design to be shorter for the guys for grilling, golf bags, disc golf bags. Then at a show, someone asked me for the towel holder things that go on the over door so they don't fall on the floor. I didn't like the ones I would see and find because the towel was always attached, so you had to throw the whole thing in the wash. I created my own design of a towel holder, that you wrapped around the stove handle and then place any towel you wanted in there. So the towel holder could be the decorative piece and you can put any ole towel you wanted in it. My husband started joining me for the craft events and decided if he's going to have to come with me, then he was going to start something. He picked up aerosol space art. Our teen son got in the action and he does a little bit of both. He does aerosol space art pieces and collaborates some with his dad, and he sews the dog bandanas and lanyards. And now the three of us enjoy making our items and going to events to sell our products. We have been doing this since 2023 as a family and have had fun doing it. We keep improving our products and learning to market as we go.
